Do you know in the 16th century the theatre actors used to highlight their faces to define facial features? In Elizabethan theatre, actors used crushed pearl or silver to highlight their faces. Interesting right? However, highlighter has become a fashion trend when social media emerged in the scenario. Now, everyone wants dewy, illuminated skin. Nowadays, makeup lovers can’t live without highlighters and strobing creams. When we talk about strobe cream, Mac strobe cream first comes to our mind. right? But, Mac strobe cream is expensive. Don’t worry. You don’t need to punch a hole in your pocket to buy an expensive product. You can strobe your face and get that glow with Maybelline Master Strobing Stick. So, today I’m going to review Maybelline Master Strobing Stick.

my experience with this product:
PACKAGING-
Its packaging is classy. It comes in bullet form. This is easy to carry. You can put it in your purse and you are good to go.
AVAILABLE SHADES-
There are two shades available of this product- Pink and nude. The pink shade is for cool skin toned people and the nude shade is for those who have warm skin tone. The nude shade looks amazing on Indian skin. Previously, I have used Mac strobe cream in Pinklite. That suited me well. So, this time I bought a Maybelline one in pink shade. If you have a deeper skin tone then go for the nude shade.
TEXTURE OF THE PRODUCT-
The product feels light on the skin. It is creamy in texture. It has micro-pearl particles in it. It blends effortlessly. It does not look oily on the skin.
APPLICATION-
It is easy to apply. You just need to swipe it on your face. You might think this will not last long. But, a little product goes a long way, so it will last really long. It blends effortlessly on the skin. You need a tiny amount of the product. You can mix it with moisturizer and apply it all over your face. Or you can just use it as a highlighter. After applying to the skin, it provides a dewy subtle glow to the skin. It instantly makes the face brighter. It is perfect for everyday wear. If you like blinding glow then you can apply more of the product. Sometimes, liquid highlighters get patchy. But, this is not patchy at all. If you want to apply this during day time then apply less amount of product. For makeup as you know less is more. Too much of the product can make you look like a disco ball.
LONGEVITY-
It stays on bare skin for a maximum of 3hours. It wears off throughout the day. If your make-up is too matte then, this highlighter can give a cakey finish during retouch.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT THE PRODUCT-
If you blend the product too much then shimmer particles become visible on the skin. when someone looks at you closely, he/she can see shimmer particles on your face. I really like natural glow with no visible shimmer. That’s why I like M.A.C Strobe cream. You can check my review of M.A.C Strobe cream if you want a more natural glow.
final thought:
If you like dewy glow then you can give this product a try. But, too much of the product can make your face look like disco ball. However, I may not buy this product again because I like more subtle glow. I will try some new highlighters next time.
Pros:
- Blends well on the skin
- Does not give a patchy finish
- Little product goes the long way
- Packaging is travel-friendly
- Suits on sensitive skin
- Does not clog pores
- Provides natural glow
- Does not settle on fine lines
Cons:
- When the product fades off, it leaves glitter particles on the skin
- Too much product can make you look like a disco ball
