Makeup will glide smoothly if the canvas is flawless. Moreover, you will look perfect in every photo.  So, to achieve radiant skin for your special day, read the following tips.

start taking care of your skin as eary as possible:

It’s recommended that you start a bridal skincare routine about a year or at least six months in advance. Then, you will get a lot of time to solve your skin issues. If you don’t have much time left for your wedding, don’t worry, still, you can achieve flawless skin with some smart tricks.

solve your skin issues:

Let’s be honest. Everyone’s skin is not flawless. Right? We do get pimples which leave ugly marks on our cheek. Some of us also have sun-damaged skin. Whatever problem your skin is suffering from, that problem can be solved with an expert’s help. Take an appointment with a renowned dermatologist and discuss your skin issues. Believe me, dermatologists understand our skin much better than us.

what would you do if a pimple suddenly pops up before wedding?

Don’t worry if you get a pimple the night before your big day. Consider treating your pimple when it is tiny in size. There are some acne spot treatment products available in the market. You need to apply a tiny amount of the product on acne and then just relax. Your pimple will shrink in size. There are pimple patches available in the market. so, you can try pimple patches to reduce the size of the pimple. Benzoyl peroxide also helps to dry out the pimple. But, benzoyl peroxide leaves a brown spot on the skin. So, do not apply it all over your skin. It is better if you use it when your acne is small in size. Remember, you just need to apply a thin layer of Benzoyl peroxide. If your pimple is huge, don’t worry. Visit a dermatologist. He would give you a cortisone shot which helps to reduce inflammation and flattens out those big blemishes. If it’s too late to treat your acne then don’t worry. You can still hide your pimple or acne with makeup.

don’t experiment with new products before wedding:

Do not try new product on your skin for at least 2 months before your wedding because your skin may react to new product. But yes, if any skincare product is suggested by your doctor then you can certainly use it.

exfoliation is the key to glowing skin:

You can use a chemical exfoliator to get glowing skin. If you want to use a chemical exfoliator then start using it at least 6 months before your wedding. do not forget to apply moisturizer and sun protection after using a chemical exfoliant.

Chemical exfoliants are acids that help to get rid of dead skin cells. Dead skin cells give our skin a dull appearance. Chemical exfoliant breaks bonds that hold cells together. After the bonds break, the top layer of the skin cells sheds. Thus, chemical exfoliants help to reveal regenerated skin cells and make skin smooth. physical exfoliator does not penetrate as deeply as a chemical exfoliator. Scrubbing particles of physical exfoliators can also be harsh on the skin. So, a chemical exfoliator is much more effective than a physical exfoliator.

There are three main types of chemical exfoliants: AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs.

AHAs include glycolic, lactic, citric, and malic acid. Among all these, glycolic acid and lactic acid are commonly used.

BHAs can penetrate your pores, as well as work on the skin’s surface. BHAs unclog pores and remove acne-causing sebum. Among BHAs Salicylic acid is commonly used. If you have dry and sensitive skin

PHAs cannot penetrate as deep as the AHAs because the molecules of the PHAs are larger than AHAs.

Now the question is among AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs, which one should you use: If your skin is prone to sensitivity, then use PHAs since they are more gentle on the skin and offer hydrating benefits. If you are new to chemical exfoliators, then go for the lowest strength of chemical exfoliators. If your skin is dry and dehydrated then you can choose lactic acid as it’s an excellent humectant. it’s great for improving hydration as it draws moisture into the skin. it also exfoliates rough, flaky, and bumpy skin and makes it smooth. BHAs, particularly salicylic acid, are great for those who have oily, acne-prone skin. AHAs can help diminish the signs of aging by targeting fine lines and deeper wrinkles. So, if you have mature skin then you can opt for AHAs. I personally love the combination of glycolic acid and lactic acid. AHAs help me to get radiant and spotless skin.

retinol or retinoid: which one to use:

Retinol can be purchased without a prescription. Retinoid is more powerful than retinol. Both of these help to achieve smooth, wrinkle-free skin. retinol and retinoid also diminish hyperpigmentation and boost collagen. . Ask your dermatologist if you can use any of these two. For me, retinoid is the game-changer. I religiously use retinoid on my skin. but to get a desirable result, I would suggest you start using at least 1 year before your wedding.

start getting facial for glowing skin:

You need a professional who would understand your skin and select product according to your skin type. Do not experiment with your skin just before your wedding. So, it is important to start getting facial 6 months before the wedding, so that, you would know which products work best on your skin.

Derma roller is a small handheld roller with hundreds of tiny needles attached to it. Derma roller diminishes the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks, and reduces acne scarring. avoid use around areas of infected acne. Otherwise, your acne would become worse. People who have diabetes, eczema, psoriasis, or a history of blood clots should not use the derma roller.
